MOHAA Sunflare Mod -
05-03-2003, 07:32 PM
I have had alot ask about a mod on the Sunflare, not to eliminate it, but make a more realistic version. Some would consider it a cheat. I share the same opinions as the original creator;
//SED: Nasty screen overlay
...that pretty much sums it up.
Below is a before and after, share your opinions on this. If accepted, I'll make this available.

In my opinion this only gives a more realistic atmosphere, give this a couple of days of input. If accepted i'll post a link, and incorporate it into the next version of EyeCandy

Ok newt. You go ahead and be blinded with that nasty overlay, and I'll enjoy a nonblinding, sweetlooking sun.

as for you newt, the only flamer here is you. I think I speak for most that the world would be a better place without you. Try to wake up one day with a positive attitude, get a life, maybe you need a little snapper, not sure exactly what would make you happy; maybe a cookie - want one?

Considering there is two maps in question that have a good deal of sunglare: Southern France
Remagen
Both of which are located in europe, none of which located in a desert or other location with a blinding sun. I for one have visited both countries. Before saying something is unrealistic, step foot in France or Germany and look at the sun, furthermore step outside and look at the sun between 10:00 am to 12 noon(considering where the sun is portrayed in the maps) anywhere other than baghdad, and let me know if the sun is actually blinding. Do you get a white out? If so stop spending so much time inside. I for one have perfect vision and have never been blinded by the sun, except for driving in a car heading west when the sun was coming down. Your opinion on this matter has been considered Sclass12, but take note that the sprite in game was made unrealistic to begin with, you are just used to it being that way. lol
"A Sun Glare in any game should impair your vision, a grenade blast 5 feet in front of your face should blind you, if not kill you. The Sun alone should never be blinding, in almost all cases."
