Default Online computer gaming Place..Ever been to one? - 05-30-2003, 11:37 PM

I dont know what their called but when people are playing here which i`m at right now they call it a lan .. DONT CALL ME A NOOB PLEASE!!!!

Its called netropolis and its tight...preety decent pc`s...

Pentium 4 2ghz
64mb gf 4 ti 4200
512 mb ddr ram
sb live 5.1
and there`s about 30 computers in here...this isnt my first time here so i`m not new at this...

But just posting for the hell of it... Just wondering if any one of you guys ever been to one or have one near you?

Fees are-

10$ member ship-you get 3 hours with your member ship.
Additional 10 $ gets you 4 hours
20 bux - gets you 9 hours...good deal?
if you dont want to buy those hours then
3 dollars per single hour
and 5 dollars for an hour with out having an membership.
Btw"The hours includes you going on all games and internet stuff such as I.E and AIM/mirc also.."

So just wanted you guys to know biggrin:

They have them all over the place down here.

There are like 6 at the local shops near my house.

It's like the new version of the old school 'Gaming Arcades.' People hang out at them. It seems kind of ghey, put its only $2 an hour ($1 USD) the only games people play are CS, Warcraft 3 and BF1942.

It's weird seeing little Black G's playing Warcraft 3 on LAN with wide-eyed curiosity.

anyone remember that video from a while ago that showeda massive CS lan party, and someguy shouts out "Someone's cheating!!!!" and then they pick him up, pick up his $2000 Über computer, and chuck it out of the place? Everyone was cheering, but you could tell it was staged. Still funny though

I go to the local internet cafe once in a while with my friend to chill: there
was a cheater playing counter-strike there (he was using a wallhack) and I
told him to turn it off. He looked at me like I was crazy and told me to fuck
off: I grabbed his chair and threw him across the room, closing his pc and
when I turned my attention to the guy, he looked pumped as hell... it was
funny. I told him to calm his ass down unless he wanted to get owned :-)
The owner told us all to leave unless we wanted the cops there and my bud
couldn't be out (house arrest) so we left peacefully: the guys stayed inside.
Fucker. lol
