I half agree with you. If you took your statement and replaced prince with "80's metal bands that just wont go away", I would be in complete agreement with you.

Prince is not without his talents and the purple rain album (yes, I have it on vinyl) was unlike anything before it.

That's what I mean when I say "In his day". Prince made alot of music, which I know was good, but it was all before my generation listened to music like that. The only song name I can remember by him is Cream & the one thats like "You don't have to be cool, to rule my world"

I didn't mean that they suck so bad they should retire, I'm saying that their time of glory is basically over, as everytime you see Jackson on the news, he's doing some antic that gets him the nickname "Wacko Jacko", and Prince is arguing out his label, or his name (The artist formerly known as).
