GOD DAMNIT! -

Enough is a fucking enough. What the fuck has happened to this place? Honestly? I like a good flame-fest like the next bloke, but in my time there was more thought behind it all, and alot better construction. Now it's "cock purse" this, "wigger" that, and "stick it [insert oriphice here]" there.
Now I know being a "vet" somehow bestows certain powers, but cmon folks - you're starting to become guilty of the same bullshit you're railing against others for. The gang mentality to shot others down, only creates a vicious cycle that eventually gets the n00b whos only defending himself against the VET ONSLAUGHT branded as a spammer-flamer-etc. Of course there ARE those who deserve the abuse, but folks like Scalss (little rascal), how many of his posts HONESTLY were any worse than the stuff we see some vets post?
The "Innoxx Quote" thread, and the "GLOCK MODEL" thread are just GLARING examples of this shit in effect.
Now - I could rant all day but that accomplishes nothing. Here's what I propose to re-energize this site:
Step 1: Take this motherfucker down for one-week/two-weeks. Why? You need to clean out the fucking garbage. As simple as that. I dont remember what the reasoning was that this hasn't been done, but if it can be done it needs to be done, even if it means a forum overhaul. I'm not a computer-l33t guy, but if this isn't possible, is it possible to redirect all traffic to a new site or something, and archive this one? Either way, whatever the cost, the glut NEEDS to be removed.
Step 2: Newbie Forum. This I think is important. The GD thread should be open to all posters as well as the SIG/INTRODUCE YOURSELF forums etc, because these are what gets the people to the site. Beyond that, you gotta prove your chops. After a certain period, if you behave, then u get the keys to the kingdom.
Step 3: Mod/Admin code of conduct. Yea that's right. There has been some SERIOUSLY uneven modding going on. The worst of it is, "well if a mod did it I cant go over it" - WHA! Checks and balances people. I commend the current setup the way it is now, and there are some fine people doing the job, but as I said, there are instances were you have to wonder - "what are they thinking". I realize the ages on this board mean fuses are short, but folks will respect and adhere when they respect the people doing the job. "Gentleman" Rudedog is a perfect example of this. I'm sure he's would have some choice words in describing some folks here - myself included - but you'd be HARD PRESSED to find someone who DOESNT respect Rude.
There are just a few things I've thought and seen and wanted to speak on. Agree or disagree - certainly your perogative, and threads like these comes along every now and then, and probably will continue to do so as long as this site is here, and as long as MOH games are getting produced.

Step 1: Take this motherfucker down for one-week/two-weeks. Grand idea. I love it and wish I could do it. Badscript is the only one who can clean out the database without the site crashing. I tried pruning the DB with the admin tools available to me, but it never got past 38% before it crapped out. So, until BS remembers he has a web forum, we're stuck on this issue.
That's not a bad idea either, but it would take some serious initial work and subsequent policing.
Step 3: Mod/Admin code of conduct. Totally agree. I try day in and day out to maintain a certain level of personal decorum and tact. Rude is someone I look up to and respect his ways of doing things. Sometimes you can't always be the good guy, though, and have to get down into the shite in order to pull the plug on some things. This means locking, editing, banning and other things that may not be popular with the masses. I do agree however (and have expressed such to the other mods) that all of the admin/mod team has to maintain a level of maturity that hasn't quite reached where it needs to be right now. Please be a little patient.
Thanks for taking the time to care about what needs to be done around here, ED. I seriously appreciate it.

Kudos to you ED.
* This site is a joke.
* 90% of the members are a joke.
* 90% of the moderators are a joke... actually 90% of the mods are the worst offenders on this site. That's what happens when they're elected by the members. Who's absolutely brilliant idea was that?!?
* There are some serious homosexual issues some of you need to deal with. Come out of the closet already...
* Who the hell unbanned Strik0ut? (STFU my sig is fine, thank you)
What needs to happen is to get rid of the entire Offtopic section of this site. Get rid of it and the majority of those here would lose interest and maybe... oh I don't know... go outside or something. The point being they wouldn't be here. Those left would be those who are interested in this site's original reason for being: Medal of Honor.
Flame away. I couldn't give a fuck less...

yup. i was a little unhappy when i loaded up hoping to read the rest of the disney thread (the first thread with content in months) to find it locked because of gayness ... i also agree about the mods. i dont think they were picked with the best interests of this place in mind , and i dont see them doing a bit of good (no offense to anyone).

About time someone in LLC showed some ballsacks. Well aside from Zoner and Akuma. And RodR hacks worse than Starvo. Hollyw00d - we wont go there.
I agree on alot of your points, and am glad it was presented in a SEMI-unconfrontational way.
The main problem I do have is the double standard. That and this follow-the-leader shit. There are members here who know the kinda sway they have over other members. I think alot of US (yea I lump myself in that as well), have strayed too far to that dark side. But this site can easily be pulled up.
Diversify: Lets get a BF forum. And other game forums, drive new blood to the site. Merge Tech with GD, because HONESTLY what questions get asked in GD that arent Tech questions anymore or server concerns about cheaters.
Regarding MOD code of conduct - someone needs to hash out a plan. Just like there's a rules agreement members agree to, the same needs to be done for the mods. Accountability is the name of the game. And AGAIN I understand age, and maturity are a factor here, and its just easier to say "Fuck You!" or "cock-purse" if you will ( oOo: ), than it is to explain yourself clearly and without useless vitrol - but - and I use the "Rudedog" paradigm - you'd get alot more out of your readership if they had confidence in their "leaders". Because like it or not, that IS what the admin and mods are. Leaders. They set the example. If a mod attacks another member, then its free reign for dozens to follow suit.
Accountability. Leadership.
This is turning into a "State Of The Forum Address" aint it.

Ive actually tried twice to download the database both times ive got 142 megs or so and the tranfer stops, according to my brother whos into all this forum crap the cut off point is where the corruption begins. the database is around 250megs in size so more or less half of it seems to be corrupt.
If i can get i touch with badscript ciaran has already offered to set up a new aa.com forum, people will need to re-register and we need badscript to map the address so the site forwards to it. Not the perfect solution but it would be stable at least and all of the shit would be gone including 14000 or so unposting members.

That DID piss me the fuck off. Tried to start a thread about a REAL issue, and Team Superfuck pisses on it. I do understand though that Zoner had a choice to make, let it keep on, or just stop the flaming before it got to pages of madness. I also understand that deleting specific replies would further slow down the forum.
i was actually looking for more of a response from Negative who said it was a hot-button issue down in 'Bama (not suprising). Ah well.

Its been said for ages that the site needs ripped down and rebuilt from the ground up. As far as i know the hosting is only paid up to the 8th or 9th of august and after that the site will be offline unless badscript pays for more time. I honestly can't see him doing this, the sites in such a state of decline and needs so much work to maintain some semblance of stability that hes better of remaking the whole thing.
Some of the mods\admins have been trying to get in touch with him for literally weeks and to no avil. =/

Gerard is the man though, you have to agree to that at least
and yes, with KIA here, it's hard to not get a thread locked.

Yeah... sorry about that. I just get so tired of sloshing through all the bullshit trying to find the one soul who actually needs a hand and hasn't been flamed to a crisp for it. There are still people here with legitimate questions and good ideas... if you can hear them over the "HEIL ME THE 1337 VET!!" nonsense.
Diversification is a good idea. This site is showing it's age. You can't have a static website that deals with a constantly evolving medium. You evolve with your subject matter or you get left behind...
