I just saw School of Rock with a couple of friends. I was just wondering if any of you have seen it or liked it. Alot of people told me it was horrible but i really thought it was cool.
I don't pay for movies, so I really get to see what ever movie I want. If I had to pay $14, I probably wouldn't have chosen to see it.
It was good. It was funny, and Jack Black did a good job. It's got some good tunes. It's a pretty fun movie. Nothing complex, and of course it's pretty predictable. I wouldn't spend the money to see it if I had to, but that's because i'm cheap. But it was enjoyable.
You can see a movie here for 2.50, but you have to wait a couple months.
The Famous Players Paramount theatre in Calgary is the largest megaplex theatre in Canada. I have a buddy who works there and he gets me into any movie I want to go to, so i'm lucky. Otherwise a movie is $13.95 or something like that. I get to see movies early as well. I'll probably see Matrix Revolutions on the 3rd or 4th of November. We also get to play PS2 on the theatre screen. My buddy is trying to figure out how to hook it up to the IMAX screen. That would be the best.
$14.00 for a movie ticket??? christ, and its hard to find a good one this year too. its not that expensive in orange county, CA but the food prolly is. $10.00 for two lousy shitty ass hotdogs. i dont like paying for a movie that looks gay, ie 'school of rock,' but i intend on seeing LOTR, matrix, Kill bill vol 2, star wars, and harry potter when they are released. any other movie ill just download or rent.
say it monday, 6$ a ticket at lowell general cinema. good movie, not the funniest but good. the funniest would probably be montypython and the holy grail or spaceballs
