hey all... just 'received' a new comp, so i'm new to the comp games, but i've got mohaabt @ best buy last week, my specs aren't the greatest, 1.4g celeron 512 mb sdram, gforce4 ti 4200 64mb... started playin mp this weekend, i have a cable modem, i thought i did fairly well, my kill to getting killed ratio is about 4:5... anyone lookin for a new guy to join their clan? also, one last mention.. it seems in certain servers i go in, people redundantly do the same thing over and over, i'll 'spectate' certain guys and just watch them, i guess u wouldn't call it cheating but certain things might lead to an unfair advantage.. is this normal for mp online?

There's an old saying " If it ain't broke... Don't fixit"...... If your system works Great !!!. If your strategy works... even better !!!! But don't forget even the best system (and strategy's) get old after awhile.

And i would'nt call spectating cheating... Its more like OJT..... cool: of course any fair advantage is just that, just make sure it's skill based (if you get my drift).

welcome to the forums. and when you're in spectate, that aint cheating, you're new and you want to learn. learn from the veterans and one day you will be just as good as them or even better.

we all start off as n00bs at one time, i am still a n00b in my eyes! i dont think that spectate thing is cheating, but i can see how others can get annoyed, so be careful with that

sounds like you got a good thing goin bro ..spectate ..learn the maps ..learn the weapons and go from there...

Spectating in pub play is not cheating though doing it matches or scrim is. Even in pub play you should only spec your current team.
