I open Spearhead the other day and an odd item appears on the console:

–Unknown command “G:\”
--------S_StopAllSounds (stop music)
--------S_StopAllSounds Complete

The strange part of this is that it prohibits certain sounds from occurring, namely those solely associated with Spearhead. For example:

-All weapons from AA (Garand, Thompson, Mauser, etc...) work and sound fine.
-All weapons from Spearhead DO NOT (Stein Mark II, G34, etc...)
-Some sounds still work, those mostly associated with effects (i.e. bullets still impact, casings still hit the ground) but those associated with the individuals weapons DO NOT (i.e. there’s no sound of reloading or the rounds being fired...).
-I tried the single-player mode the other day and found some other peculiar glitches. In the first mission, you begin in a transport plane but after the credits disappear there is noting but silence (I’m assuming wind should be whizzing by or the engine sound be roaring.). However, I can still hear the commander say “Welcome to France!” or something...

Any assistance with this dilemma would be greatly appreciated...

Remove any and all custom pk3 files from your mainta folder and see if it's still broken.
