Back in the day that card would blew the geforce 2 ultra away. First graphics card to come with 128mb of ram and had over 11 gigs of bandwidth, nvidia only caught up with that bandwidth size a few years after 3dfx went under. Card was way ahead of its time but never seen a release

[quote="Sergeant_Scrotum":39427]I used to have a voodoo 3 3000. I think its still somewhere in my desk. it was a good card. Why did they kill the voodoos?[/quote:39427]
ya it sucked i had just bought a new computer 2 years ago and its 3d card was the last card 3dfx ever made, the vodoo 5500, like right after i bought the computer 3dfx went out of buisness stopped suporting the card and none of the new games suported it....i had to have a special ap so i could play mohaa on it, and i had to go out and buy a geforce 4.
same thing for me i went to buy a gforce 2, but they were out so i got the voodoo 5. got xp a month later no support, nvidea wouldnt make new drivers for them , after all they bought 3dfx. nothing worked, sold it for 50$ and bought a gforce2.
that sucks ass for you guys who bought a vodoo 5500 and couldn't get any update drivers
maybe you could take nvidia to court and get some $$$$ and add into account your mental anguish! cuss:
