Does floppy drive quality even matter anymore? I'm using an old one from a 486 in my xp2500.

Floppy: Anyone. Sony or Teac is good.

CD-RW: Either the Plextor Plexwriter series, or the TDK VeloCD series.

DVD: I like my Pioneer DVD-ROM.

I believe the plextor dvdr is the only drive that can burn at 8x using 4x media. Since there is little or no 8x media to be found then the plextor is the best as far as performance.

They're good, but I go with brands I've trusted for years. As in HD: I would take a Seagate or Western Digital over a Maxtor any day, same with Pioneer DVD's or TDK burners.

yeah, ill order a samsung floppy, and a light-on dvd, cdrw drive. i just wanted your guys' opinion because the customer reviews on light-on's drives are kinda sketchy (ex. drives sound like sand?!)

im getting ready to light my case with 5 case fans and icant decide on getting red or blue led case fans from cooler master. i kinda want red but i have a red mobo and graphics card and i think itll look a little too red with the red leds. then again if i add blue led fans im afraid itll make my hardwarelook pale. any suggestions?

I have a TDK DVD Burner - Love it... good price too. I think I paid 130 after rebates.
