your school is on the verge of an attack by partisans of unknown origin. the police in your area has already been attacked. the police is there, but only 3 cops have survived. you and 20 others decide to form a militia. the cops give you weapons of other dead policemen. mwah:

Around 1944 I believe, biggest retreat in the History of the Brit Army was Burma, but once we kicked the japs azz at the Admin Box and at the borders of India @ Kohima & Imphal we whooped em all the way back to Mandalay. I wouldn't be surprised if the Canucks saw some action there, the Canucks were over parts of the pacific sometimes fighting under U.S. Command with US equiptment etc. The Aussies were certainly there & so were the Yanks, the majority of the fighting at the Admin box was done by some guys from Yorkshire I think.

A game in which you had to defend your home from telemarketers and Johavas Witnesses. You have a wide variety of weaponry to choose from.
or
MMPORPG where you got to choose if you wanted to join the Rebellion or Imperial armys during the Clone Wars. You could choose if you wanted to be a pilot, infantrymen, armour etc.

[quote:f6a8e] do have info on Canadian Army personnel who served with Special Operations, Executive (S.O.,E.)with their Force 136 and with other secret units. When I first got the report years ago out of DHIST at NDHQ "CLOAK AND DAGGER" (its real name!) it had all of the names censored. Since then the names have been released. I am also in contact locally with a number of Chinese-Canadian secret agents who served in Force 136.

[quote:f6a8e]By the way, one of our unknown RCAF squadrons flew P-47 Thunderbolts in the Burma area as I recall. Most people don't realize that the RCAF flew any P-47s. There is a great photo published of an RCAF jeep in front of one of those P-47s.[/quote:f6a8e]

[quote:f6a8e]There was a Royal Canadian Naval Unit in theatre called: (Sea Recconaissance Unit) and had 4 Sections! It was attached to the British 14th,Army.
They were to operate with the British Army/and R.N.,(Royal Navy)ie, "S.B.S." Special boat Service.

Their is a book written on them called "The Frogmen of Burma" by Lt Cmdr Bruce S. Wright,C.D.
published by Clarke,Irwin&Company Toronto ltd. 1968.

Enjoy! Chris Furlotte[/quote:f6a8e]

That part about the SBS is quite interesting, I read about some of the SBS being deployed to the Far East but I've never heard about what they did. eek:

ww1 would be good too, a nice ol bayonet charge, a proper multiplayer mediaeval game would kick azz too, from a FPS perspective. A bit like siege from bf1942 with cavalry & archers etc but better. rock:
