Hell yes! "Message in a bottle", great tune. They're not really new wave. Actually everyone just put good 80's tunes in. Don't have to be new wave.

I'm not certain what you mean by " new wave " but here are a few new age ones.

Enya and Enigma made there first American albums in the last 80s.

The " Pure Moods " album started in the late 80s
