WW2 Book -
04-03-2004, 09:30 PM
Hey, i am considering writing a book based on my grandfathers experience in fighting the war with the red army, it would be diary style, and it would include the battle of stalingrad, battle of berlin, battle of warsaw, etc... It would be based on the true story, and all battles in the book my gradnpa would have really fought in. I would really appreciate any sugestions, and please vote in the poll.

By all means go ahead, we need more firsthand accounts, ones from the Russian Front are hard to come by as it is.
I volunteer to preview/edit you book biggrin:
PS. Proteus, just because you don't read books doesn't mean he's gay

Just make sure you get all the info off him before he passes away.......Unfortunately, WW2 vets are a fading breed.

Woody Hershel Williams, the only medal of honor resipiant(sp) from West Virginia, came in and lectured our class today. He fought at Iwo Jima to help clear pillboxes on an airfield with a flame thrower.
