Default Connection and map loading problems - 06-18-2004, 09:09 AM

I am having problems connecting to one particualr MOHAA server site. Unfortunately it is my CLAN's server. When I tell my system to connect, it says connecting and sits there for about 1-2 minutes and then finally connects. My pings are good when in the server. When a map is finished my system does not load the next map for almost 30 seconds and I get the "slow server" message at the bottom of the screen. I also am involved in TWL so I have reverend installed. All this happens whether I am using reverend or not. none of my other CLAN members have this problem. I DO NOT have this problem when connecting/connected to other CLAN's servers. I have changed to a totally new PC, swapped out all of my CAT5 cables, moved my PC to a separate AC circuit from my modem and router, I have also plugged my PC NIC directly into the modem (bypassing the router). I do not have these problems with other on-line games. Hardware I am currently using:
Pentium 4 2.6GHz
XP Pro SP2
Motorola SB4100 Cable modem
NetGear R614 Router/swtich
Gforce4 Ti4600

I have reloaded a couple of times on my old PC and the new PC with no change. Any ideas?

Got this from another post and it worked even though it was for a similar but different problem.

here's the answer:

You will experience difficulties with Medal of Honor because both computers will attempt to connect to the same internet port (12203). This will cause problems when working behind a router. To prevent this from happening, you’ll have to tell the game to use a different port:

· Right click on the game short cut and go to Properties.

· When the Game Properties window appears, go to the “Target” field. In this field you’ll see something similar to “C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\moh_spearhead.exe”. You will need to add +set net_port 12203 to the end of “C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\moh_spearhead.exe” on the first computer, and on the second one, you’ll add +set net_port 12204 on the second computer. For our example, the first computers “Target” field will look similar to this:
“C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\moh_spearhead.exe” +set net_port 12203
The second computer’s “Target” field would look similar to this:
“C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\MOHAA\moh_spearhead.exe” +set net_port 12204

· After you complete those steps click Apply then click OK and you should be able to have both computers on at the same time.
