This happend south of me

I'm not a fan of green peace but it was a damn great way to protest. These people that broke into the power plant are facing 20+ years in prison.

unfortunately Greenpeace is also against nuke plants, which are so far the only practical (semi) clean alternative to coal and oil.

At current technology levels we'd need helluva lot wind generators and solar panels to light up America; that doesn't mean we shouldn't research to improve these sources, but the main efort right now should be more nuke plants. They are safe as long as there aren't jackasses running them (chernobyl).

Surprisingly solar power has become more and more efficient over the past few years. The problem is their cost. Hopefully, like computers thier costs will drop so that everyone can one day afford them. In the mid-atlantic region 30 square feet of solar panels with battery storage can supply a 2,500 sf. house. Given constant weather conditions.

When these dumbshits stop scaling power plants and sabotaging oil rigs (causing oil spills...) and start sitting down developing feasible alternative energy sources, I'll listen.

Otherwise these fucking hippies need to shut the hell up.

yeah, getting power from coal is like doing surgery with a Ka-Bar knife, sure you can do it, but you do a hell of a lot of collateral damage to the patient
