Hi,
can anyone tell me why both my Demo MOHAA and Full Version both try and Dialup the internet everytime I play (to connect to some port on a nonsensical IP address?)even in a single player game!! It drops out during the mission load to windows. Not so much of a problem except that once this happens I lose mouse control which screws me completely. The only way I've been able to play successfully is to dialup so the game does not bomb out and try to invoke my dialler. Is this a known problem and is there a fix?
thanks

Try going into the Options of your Dial up/ isp and disable the auto start up.
Should work.

Umm,
I think there's no way to stop the dialogue box coming up if you try and access a network resource. I will have a look tonight and see what gives. I guess I can always remove all my dialup links to another folder or something. God Damn annoyying though!!

any other replies, comments... bring them on.

Yeah dude, i totally need help with it to. If leave teh dialer open, the game will freeze if a attempt to load the game, like a new game. Then if i close it, every time i start a new game, it will minimize my game, then when i restore it, it will be only a quarter of a screen. Anyone know how to prevent the Stupid Dial Up thingy?

Im gonna make this short cause ive answered this question a fair bit.

For 95/98/Me users
Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet Options/Connections tab. Select 'Never Dial a Connection'

For XP users do the same then reopen Internet Explorer when the connection box comes up, select 'Do not ask me this again until next logon' click cancel then go play.
You'll need to do that every time you logon.

If that doesn't work your doing something wrong.

thanks for that. I'll give it go. Maybe it should go into a FAQ or something. Better still they should fix the damn game.
