I've tackled mapping and am starting to get the swing of the basics but there are some skins i'll make some day that are gonna need thier own models; i have all the programs i need and a couple tuts and tons of time.

you should be good at it, but i would think it takes a lot of practice to make em from scratch

if you get it down tho, would you mind mixing parts of existing player models together for me, ill pm you with details if you can help

I voted Option #3 cause I tried it once upon a blue moon and didnt really stick with it and learned just how hard it was, but I think you got what it takes to make some good stuff..

i've always wondered why that couldn't be done just with coding but i dunno. i'm gonna concentrate mostly on this map i'm going to start for my Clinical skin pak (the 11 skins; 6 freaky guys and the 5 combo of german and american soldiers) that i want to get done by december-ish but i'll tool around with the modling.

My suggestion is go for it but be aware that you will swear scream and possibly murder your family along the way but its all worth it. When i 1st tried mapping i just couldnt understand it but i tried again a few months later and it all fell into place. All i say is dont just expect it to be easy and you should be fine.

Its not that hard.... I just started to model my own stuff to Im getting pretty good at it rock:

its just takes practice. as long as u have some good source pics, u should be all set. its hard at first but then it gets easier. the only problem im having is too many verts lol.

its hard exporting after making something from scratch. it could be too big or too small or not facing the right way... so many problems.
