New problem with the mod's

I download the file (for example a blood mod) then after it's completed i open it with winzip, then after it opens it shows files with an icon that looks like winzip, i try again with shift + right click and open it again just incase. I thought it was working but when I played the game nothing happened... no blood. PlEASE HELP~~~~
