Connection Timed Out... Plz Help

well all seeing eye doesn't have the spam and the pings are a little lower than gamespit. I would use the in game browser, but it doesn't have a buddy list which sucks cuz a lot of my friends play. It's a bitch to try and find somebody when u have know idea what server they are on.

I downloaded the 1.1 patch. That was my problem. I'd still rather use Gamspy cause the setup is much more friendly. Looking at the ingame browser I have to strain cause the words are almost like the background and I get a headache before I even start the game. Plus Gamespy hasn't had those damn 30 second long waits on the ads where you can't click the blue X.

Ok I just got the full version. I'm all pumped, I go to gamespy find my server. Double click... connection timed out. Ok, I try another. Connection timed out. And another... and another. Can someone please tell me what the hell is wrong here? It doesn't do this with the demo.

are you on a 56k? Don't use gamespy it sucks. Download 'All Seeing Eye'. Way better! Sorry, don't have a link for you.

Damn, just use the ingame browser.. Or haven't you installed v1.1 yet?

ASE wants money too.. Screw that.. What's so damn great about it over GSA? Don't get me wrong, I'm not a GSA fanboy.. But sh¡t man they both want money what's the diff?

I paid for GS3D & now they come out with this Arcade crap. I really don't care for the way they've done the 'net a disservice under the guise of being helpful with this fileplanet crap either. So don't get me wrong but...

Give us a little more info about your connection.

Also, if you haven't installed the 1.1 patch, do so. I know when I try to join a server & it's a version 1.0 server, it gives me an error saying something about wrong version. But I'm not sure 1.0 trying to join a 1.1 server would do the same.

It's possible that the server's you tried to join had acually been shutdown already in which case that exactly what would happen, the connec would time out. And there is still alot of listen servers out there. I'm assuming that's not the case though if you've tried 3 or even more & they've all done that. Sorry I can't be of more help right now. It's the weeee hours of the morning & I haven't crashed yet..
