I went through the Communications and Electronics school at 29 Palms in the mid 70's. The worlds largest beach (where is the ocean). We all used to go out to the Joshua Tree Park and party in the desert. I had a '66 Grand Prix and we'd all pile in and go to Palm Springs or LA and raise hell. Good times were had by all.

Before I got the GP, 5 of us went in and bought a '63 Pontiac station wagon to use to drive out into the desert and party. After about a month of hauling all these drunk Marines around it broke down on us and we had to walk back to base. We went back to the wagon and shoot it up pretty goodand then one of the guys came up with some quatter sticks of dynomite. There wasn't much left when we got done.
