We have successfully tested this new feature set over the past few weeks for a few supported games and will be rolling it out to all supported games over the next few days and weeks. I find this rather disturbing, because i've seen PB kick and ban people all the time, for useless crap, i've been kicked from my own server for some stupid crap error before......i fear this, my gawd i fear this

I am pretty sure you will get more then one chance, or at least it will only ban you for hardcore shit. I have been kicked for errors a lot, but never banned. It only does the guid ban for positive traces of heavy ass hacks.

Yea, there are still people who will cheat in vf1942. Now you can't use mass produced public hacks though. You have to code your own personal hack and never let anyone else use it.

exactly, if you get cought with a perosnally encoded hack though, you can't be banned, it just states the error that you had commited and kicks you temporarily etc. Since it can't ban you unless you do something hardcore/ it has exact evidence of what it is you are doing.

hardware bans are being bigger and bigger for free PB supported games like Enemy Territory and Americas Army, but there is a way to get around it, spoof your harddrive serial, there is a program like that out there but its mega private. SoF2 (Soldier of Fortune 2) now checks if theres any modules loaded into it and Punkbuster kicks you if it doesnt recognize it.

Its about time anticheat software did something useful, but its not infallable, probably get a lot of people banned for bs reasons or using tweaked cfgs that don't comply with punkbusters nazi like rules. I remember getting a temp ban from one cod server cause my framerate was peaking 500fps, so ive a good pc, thats obviously reason to be kicked and banned. rolleyes:

lol, i used to cheat in MOH/COD and never ever got caught by Punkbuster in COD, and moh, lets just say i never joined a league :P

now cheating is no fun, so stale and boring. CSS clean is fun ^_^
