US won't invade Iran.

This administration would be absolutley to do what they did in Iraq with Iran. Iran is 3 times bigger in Area, and also has 60 million people.

I just expect the US and Israel to bomb a bunch of stuff and then overthrow the government. That should fix it.

I don't know. I'm not nearly informed enough on the situation to make even an educated guess.

All I really know is that Iran has a Fanatical Cleric government, and the US doesn't really like that.

As for WMD I suppose I could make an uneducated guess. I don't see any way for the US or even NATO to occupy Iran, so in order to stop the WMD program in Iran, people would probably be assisanated, and perhaps a coup backed by the US. I know there are revolutionaries in Iran, but I don't think it's anywhere near the majority. The Clerics have such a tight grip on the country that hardly anyone would dare go against them.

Again, this is just my uneducated blabbering.

You don't necessarily have to agree with this adminstration to find truth in this statement.

My old college roommate is Iranian and he basically said he can never go back to see his family or they will probably kill him for slipping out of the country. He used to send stuff home to his little sisters and parents, but he would pack everything in douche or tampon boxes to keep the government from going through the shit and stealing it. Sad.

He told me how all the younger generation and even people his parents age are for a more free country. The problem is that the Muslim fanatics in the government scare people from rising up. I don't blame people though, because they still cut peoples' heads off over there and stone you for God's sake.

There will be no US led invasion of Iran in the near future unless the Iranians do something outrageous.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I think that it is definitely bad for countries like N. Korea and Iran to have nuclear weapons. These are countries with radical governments that oppress their people, stifle freedom, and have an axe to grind with neighboring countries.

Does that mean that an alliance should be formed and bombing/invasion should commence? Not in my opinion. But, diplomacy and economic isolation should definitely be used to coax these countries into doing what is right, that is not developing nuclear weapons in an age when superpower countries are no longer proliferating these weapons.

If you are of the opinion that the world should sit by and let any country that wishes to develop nuclear weapons do so, then you need to get your head out of the sand. Hell, even China (N. Korea's only ally) is trying to bring the N. Koreans back to the negotiating table.

I shudder at the thought of N. Korea lobbing a nuke at either S. Korea or Japan or the Iranians tossing one Israel's way. If that ever were to happen, Iraq is going to look like a picnic.

My two cents.

Well we strill choose to bomb countries who don't even have the slightest chance of ever getting away with even a minimul attack on USA soil.

It is kinda like being interrogated and them keep thinking you're lying, but you're telling the truth....and then after they finally believe you...they put a bullet in your head.

Thats like the Iraq war.
