Summed up in a comic strip, it's funny because I remember thinking the same shit, back before the .WWW and 24-7 reality tv and shitty rap music, MTV was the shit. I know Zone can appreciate this, most of you kiddies won't know what's going on, but it's still funny.

that was really funny... i remember watching the 'premiere' of that video on MuchMusic in 1992, i watched the whole thing and was stoked cause it was real cool to watch while you're stoned, then i realized i wasn't stoned, just confused like those guys... oh, the 90's...

I remember that video sooo well... I would've been 10 in 92, but my sister was 15 and I knew how cool slash and axl were. I'm going to go put on some biker shorts and a hypercolor t-shirt.

Dude. "Disrespect" is a noun, not a verb.
Jesus, man. Go be white somewhere else.
HA, good find +1

I was 10 or 11 also, but GNR was and still is my favorite band so it hits home. I remember watching the premiere thinking "why the hell are they all running away from the rain?" and "holy shit she died?? What was it acid rain?".
I remember Estranged and Don't Cry coming out as part of the "trilogy" of videos from Use Your Illusion. They go along with the story told in November Rain.

man those were the good old days that video was epic, i loved when slash would be playing on the train tracks and then would step off a millisecond before the train hit him
i miss the old mtv soooooo much, mtv jams, the grind, oddities, the brothers grunt, the head, the maxx, superrock, and of course beavis and butthead
there were so many good shows on mtv, it makes me sad to think of how it was all lost to the backstreet boys and n*suck, both bands are long gone, but mtvs sickening metrosexuality and mindlessly meaningless shows remains

HAW! That was great, man.
Although I didn't grow up with MTV, we had MuchMusic. Basically the same thing only that MuchMusic still plays videos. Many a weekday from 5:00-6:00PM was spent watching the Pepsi Power Hour. rock:
Mind you, 99% of the videos suck these days. Even their specialty station, Much Loud, sucks most of the time.
Newsflash Much Loud: Good Charlotte aren't metal. rolleyes:

great now i really feel old because i grew up with a half hour show on hbo called video jukebox.......6 videos per week. usually bowie, 10cc, michael nesmith, blondie, 38 speedwagon.
then came mtv which played almost non stop rush, pat benetar, duran duran, adam and the ants, haircut 100 & billy squier.
mtv shows ? saturday night concerts, that's the closest they came to a show.

How about Good Rockin Tonight (with Terry David Mulligan...Stu Jefferies is a fruit!) or Video Hits with Samantha Taylor.
Good times.
