Can anyone direct me to a good site or list some vietnam songs? I could search....but with 700+ pages in the music thread and the countles bfv threads, it would take forever.

Hmmm, a good place to start is to check out various movie soundtracks that are based during that time period. I started getting into that stuff when I got the Forrest Gump soundtrack all those years ago. You can also try the BF:V soundtrack.

To me, theres a couple of Hendrix songs that I associate with the era...Purple Haze, All Along The Watch Tower, Hey Joe and a couple others....
...Well, those are my favourite from the era.

Was "surfin bird" a nam era song or something that was made later that just suited the theme?
