Exactly, some old muscle cars can run a quarter mile in less than 10.

Also MPG = 3

exactly, considering I have seen civics run 10's which had a total modification cost of 25000 in parts etc. The ecotec GM dragster(cavalier) supposedly does quarters in the low 8's as well.

yes but people are more jealous when they see you in a saleen, not a civic.
granted the civic and the ecotec dragster are impressive machines but you wont get the respect as you would driving in a saleen. Thats why people buy high priced mercedes and ferarris, to be noticed

If I wanted to be noticed, I would completely rice out any import, and the whole respect thing dpends on the group you are around with your cars. If you are a celebrity, then this saleen would serve you better, while if you were a muscle car enthusiasts, a muscle car would be more to your liking etc etc etc

theres a difference between being noticed and being made fun of

There is not a man on earth who wouldnt want a Saleen S7 if they saw it rolling by.

Now if you have a civic with altezzas, fart cannon, outrageous body kit, neon rice lights, ect ect you have the respect of ricers, not your average joe.

dont you agree?
