Another Domino -

Another domino for democracy has fallen. The president in Kyrgyz has resigned, and the people will hold elections in the fall. I wonder which country is next?

WTF is Kyrgyz?
Do you even know what you’re talking about?
This was the people of Kyrgyzstan’s decision. This is not “democracy on the march”, this is a country where the people are taking responsibility for their own government.
Does it matter if the people wanted a communist, socialist or democratic government? I don’t see why it should. It is their country after all.

The whole domino thing is based on the fact that people are tired of controlling governments; governments that dont listen to the people.
the falling dominos refers to Afghanistan, Iraq, Lebannon. Other countries like Egypt and Saudi Arabia are talking of election becuase they are scared of being overthrown.
Doesnt the overthrow of the governement Kyrgyzstan reflect this "domino effect"? Do you think any credit belongs to Bush? Ofcourse the Liberals will say no, but nothing would have happened with Kerry--he is a push over.

im not disagreeing with you, and you dont need to throw those quotes at people. ANYONE can find one quote to back up their ideas.
I have never doubted you being right-I just disagree with you. (ninty9)
In fact, you are politically smarter than most, but you seem to always want to prove people wrong by those damn quotes. Do you think that anyone who has a different viewpoint than yours is wrong?
Like I said, anyone can quote something to back up their ideas.

Their articles. I use articles to back up the points I make. If I don't use articles, everyone would tell me to shut up.

What, you must have containment and domino theory mixed up. Vietnam was completely different. It was the US helping free people protect themselves from spread communism. Containment.
People really dont understand Vietnam, and always try to compare EVERY war to Vietnam-the same people who call others ignorant becuase of supporting a war, alot of times, are the same people who just listen to one side as well.
Domino is helping people to OVERTHROW dictators, and establish a new gvt.
And back to my original point- its not important to use quotes to back up statements--anyone can find any quote to back up what they believe. People will just take your word for it (at least I would) unless its unbelievable.
