Best Video Game Ending of 2004/5 -
04-06-2005, 07:01 PM
I've given a short list, but please add some suggestions of your own!
I vote HL2. The ending made me shiver.
If it's not on the list, please don't call me oOo: for not adding it.
These are just basic ideas for games I came up with, nothing specific.
And I know, Half life 1 was made like, a kajillion years ago.

None of them were very good... I guess HL was the best on the list, followed by HL2.
Best ending from semi-recent game would have to be KOTOR.

H&D 2 sabre squadron. hl2 and doom both dropped the ball on gameplay depth. in doom 3 all you did was shoot things....woopie. In Hl2 you had some small amount of squad tactics and the gravity gun as an option beside shooting. H&D2 however, let you set up complicated strategies, use lots of vehicles for regular gameplay, customize yourself and your squad to accomodate your own style of gameplay and it had co-op with sabre squadron. Only problem for me was system stability and occaisonal game slowdown with graphics.

more marines come to save you after you kill everything.
The doctor guy flies away as some crazy dragon thing.
Slightly more disappointing than HL2's.

a lot of games have really shitty endings nowadays... i didnt like the kotor ending as much as I could have, because there seemed to be an endless onslaught of apprentices who would surround ur entire party and hack them to death. I mean geesh, were talking about the dark lord of the sith getting beaten down by 4 apprentices. Come on! The end cutscenes were pretty neat tho. Our of the list i choose hl2.

I dont think I've EVER finished a video game to know. I'm not really into those types of games or a single player fps. I like a game for replay value, and I dotn mean playing single player over again because it was so good.
I guess I'll vote other for "DX BALL", a great breakout syle game that, at the end, it spells out, "THE END" in bricks. Not a very good ending, but the only ending I know.

Maybe you didn't level up enough. I've beaten the last level with out any party members.

Shit I accidently voted HL2...
Max Payne 2 had the best ending ever. I'm not going to explain it becuase it would undermine the story and the impact of the ending.

Max Payne 2 was definately kick ass & great ending. I'm hoping for MP 3 sometime soon.

Kotor 2's ending was horrible.
JK3 was in 2003.
I was happy when I uninstalled Doom 3 and deleted the ISOs, does that count as an ending?
