AGP or PCI-E? I'm guessing AGP. yeah the Radeon 9800Pro is a good card but I think for close to the same cash i'd get a Nvidia 6600GT (AGP) card.

9800Pro

probably around 2000-3000. i spent 2750 on mine, and it runs it perfect with a x800 pro at 1440 * 900 with 2x aa and 4xaf w/ max settings.

6600GT is the best AGP card out there for <200 hands down.

Just google some benchmarks comparing the 9800 to the 6600, the 6600GT should come out on top everytime.

And, the 6600GT's can be had for less then 150 if you time it right(mail-in rebates, free shipping, etc.)

i wouldnt get an ati radeon 9800 pro, its soon to be outdated, at least the 6600gt would last a little bit longer. i have one, and its a great vid card.

6600 all the way. Easily runs Half-Life 2 16x AF, and 8x AA on all maxed settings. It also runs Battlefield 2 well on medium settings.
