Now, as much as I believe it, there are some people out there that absolutely believe that the moon landings were faked. Here are some of the most popular arguments:
1) There are no stars in the background of the footage, which would have been visible as the moon has no atmosphere. NASA knew that any fake starfield would be picked out by a trained astronomer, so they just left it out.
Wrong. The stars were not bright enough to be picked up by the camera the astronauts used.
2) THAT THAR FLAG WUZ WAVIN', AND THUR AIN'T NO WIND UP ON THAT THAR CHEEZ HUNK!!!!!
The flag planted by the astronauts was supported by a tube in the top, so it would be visible. It waves in the footage because the astronaut who planted it caused it to bump.
There are more, but they are pretty inane and therefore not worth addressing. Who here believes the landings were faked, other than Pyri?

I dont see why America doesnt go back to the moon, the idea that there is nothing to do there or that they have allready been there and done that is bullshit.
Just think of all the press they will get if they put a man on the moon again, or if they land where they landed last time and stood on the same spot. I think it would bring America back together just like it did last time. If they landed on the moon again I would be sitting right in front of the T.V. just like a little kid and I would watch everything from take off to landing.

They toyed with that idea, but Always Complaining Liberals poo-pooed that it was just theatre - and distracting from the "REAL" issues. . .as if Government functions only on a set limited set of goals. . .

I heard that they have plans to land a man on Mars by the year 2025. That would be interesting to see. They planned on sending other robots to the martian landscape and set up space stations before the humans get there so the astronauts don't waste any time building shelter.

1. ever looked at the moon and seen stars around it? The reflection of the moon drowns out all the other stars around it. Probably the same thing on the surface of the moon.
2. Heres one I hear a lot. " I saw on one of the rocks the letters C16 were on it. It must be some sort of stage prop!.

Well, for the first one, thats exactly what I said (My responses are italicized)
The second one is simply an anomaly, not "labeled" C16,but just "C". And if you've seen it, it barely qualifies as a "C", certainly not something a props maker would do.

Moon again by 2015 I've heard, but that's not really NASA's fault. Combine funding and everyone shitting their pants over the slightest safety issue and there's your situation.
Though, with the safety thing I guess they're right. If the slightest thing goes wrong the politicians will start with the BS again.
