I believe he was thinking of the Detroit/Colorado brawl where he thinks Detriot kicked the shit out of Colorado where in reality, the fight was nearly even, even tho Detriot is a much bigger team.
For the record, that was one hell of a brawl!

Claude LePwew got his ass kicked and he needed it kicked for what he did to Draper ( a cheap cross check to the back into an open door which resulted in massive surgeries to his face) then after the fight it was a straight line to the Stanley Cup!!! It seemed like that was the motivator they needed to take them the entire way

Correct my greasy wop compadre.
Even though McCarty wasn't the best player in Detroit, he was arguably the biggest fan favorite. He's played here 11 years, and is a good hard working guy, a lot of people are very sad to see him go. Myself included

Lmao...wtf milla Whitney sucked shit, he played 1 yr here and had like 43 pts...Hatcher is on the decline and would much rather keep schneider, and the younger guys than hatcher.
McCarty will be missed. He fucking owned Patrick Roy, remember that year he scored like 94648064 goals against him in the playoffs, I believe he got a hat trick against him during one of the games.
D-mac class guy.

McCarty's legacy
March 26, 1997: McCarty pummels Colorado's Claude Lemieux during an infamous brawl and scores the winning goal in overtime.
1997 Stanley Cup, Game 4: He scores the series-clinching goal against Philadelphia.
2002 Western Conference finals, Game 1: McCarty achieves his first career hat trick against Colorado.
