Need help on importing 3D assets into MOHRadiant for maps -

For the life of me, I cannot find a single resource online that shows me how to make a map level in a 3D program like Lightwave and/or 3DStudio Max and then import that as an asset into MOHRadiant. All of the resources online go about how to use MOHRadiant to make the files (all well and good, but I have much better programs better suited to the task, I'd love to use them), but so far nothing on how to get a .lwo or .3ds or .max file into MOHRadiant.
Does anyone have a link to navigate to, or a methodology that I can follow? Converting the .lwo to .3ds / .max is no problem. It's getting it into MOHRadiant that I cannot fathom.
