Default CoD2; worth buying for multiplayer? - 11-14-2005, 04:09 PM

I 'd buy CoD2 just for multiplayer.
I did not like CoD (1) in multiplayer mode because the maps were too big and the confrontation spots between the two enemies "moved" over the map in a very unlikely (for me frustrating) way.
This was partly due to the spots were pple spawned .

Does CoD2 multiplayer resemble it's predecessor or has it changed regarding map size, spawn policy, and has it <more> static "action spots" .

If it changed I 'd consider buying, else I don't.
