Well I'd suggest removing every little thing of BF2, it leaves small traces of the game after uninstallation. Search for them like this:

· Launch REGEDIT by selecting Start/Run, typing REGEDIT in the text box and pressing Enter.

· Under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, click on the + and scroll down to Software.

Now you're looking for anything EA and DICE, these are obviously BF2, just right click on the whole folder and delete them. Obviously if you have any other EA games it will probably delete them too, so if you have more than 1 EA game go into the folder and only delete the BF2 stuff.

Good luck. This may or may not help freak:

Ok, well on my PC Regedit is in C:\Windows\Service Pack Files\i386

Go to your 'Search' option in the Start menu, above Help and Support, type regedit into the search. Then do as I typed earlier, good luck, again..
