Default PS2 problems - 12-24-2005, 10:53 AM

ok, i use my PS2 almost only as a dvd player, and lately i've had problems with it. every once and awhile, when i put in a dvd, either a brand new one or one i've only watched on it once or twice before, it over and over again has problems reading the disc. ex: i just put in star wars ep.III, just opened and it will not read it. it keeps saying "reading disc" and after about 20 seconds, it makes a loud buzzing sound. it plays MASH dvds, and others, but just a select few it wont. i've had it (ps2) since about a year after it came out, give or take. anyone know what to do?

sounds like your laser is out of alignment. I tried to fix this myself but ended up breaking my ps2. One of your friends will know someone that fix's them, they'll prolly charge you £10-20
