Default ww2 movies i just saw - 05-21-2006, 11:54 PM

the fallen - older movie i think, about the americans vs germans and italians in northern italy near 1945...i enjoyed this one a lot, it was entertaining, not as gripping as SPR or BoB, but worth checking out...plus i recognized 2 different music tracks from MoH, where these taken from the movie or did this movie take them from the game???

the last drop - one word- bily zane....horrible, and even worse, billy zane was the best fuckin actor in the movie....no plot, almost no action, the americans look like retards. ugh, worth pirating and watching just to post how much you hated it in this thread. only the first 15 minutes were enjoyable where the british troops are pinned down by german mg fire. thats before you know anything about the characters and how poorly developed they will be as the movie progresses

the last drop had my intention but i had no clue what the story was really about other than, the german officer and sniper trying to steal something

my dad bought me The Eagle Has Landed and a 26 episode documentary on WWII at Walmart for $11 biggrin:

I'll be watching it today - I've seen before but it's a good one.

I think I might watch The Longest Day and Kelly's Hero's today too.

Band of Brothers and SPR ruined every other war movie for me.

I tried to watch "The Sands of Iwo Jima" the other day and turned it off...too fucking ludicrous.

The Big Red One was ruined too. GG Luke Skywalker shooting 18 continuous rounds from an M1 Garand. oOo:

I remember another ww2 movie, fucking hell it was horrible, once scene showed tanks rolling down a street and they must have showed that one bit of footage about 10 times, looked like the tanks were never gonna get into the town. oOo: Also all the germans had m1 garands and had to pretend to cycle the bolt after every shot. biggrin:

Using tanks form the 70's as tigers. annoy:

That scene in the big red one where they are in the tank helping that lady give birth. oOo: I understand the symbolic reference but it was totally out of place and uncalled for.
Best part was when they spotted the german tanks and dug small holes for cover in 10 seconds.

Worst WWII Movie: The Last Panzer... or something like that - it was made in Spain, I think. Such a low budget that they couldn't even afford a real baby, they used a plastic doll. This plastic doll was guzzling down some milk from "it's" mother.
