what ya think?, a guy has 40 kills and is number 1 on the list for your team, but he also died 40 times,,. another guy has 14 kills and and died 7 times..... you dont really notice the guy with the least amount of deaths.. but he played a much sounder game.. whats better ? what do you guys think?? ive been known to be a suicide machine gunner and rack a lot of kills and take first, but i'm realizing first isnt always best for team match if your deaths and kills are roughly the same. i'm wondering if a scoreing mode could be made that subtracts kills and deaths. example you can have 40 kills but 36 deaths and your score would be 4. this would bring out the best in game play.. also how about a medal displayed by your name, for some incentive.

i usually go for the guy with the best ratio. i admit i suck horribly at math but i try to judge it best i can. all rambo style does is get more points for the enemy.

Its all about the kill/death ratio.

------------------
By my discriminatory nature, I have felled the command structure of my enemies, rendered their equipment useless and driven fear into the hearts of their fighting men.
The sniper is one of the most effective weapons on the field of battle.
I am frugal, and precise. I am not a superman, capable of incredible feats, but Im skilled in ways that many misunderstand.
For enemy soldiers, Zaitsev represents their doom. Unseen, but certain.
Just raise your head above the trench and meet your maker.

interesting idea to subract them. I like the idea. One possible problem would be increased camping. Now i often am a snipe and always moving from spot to spot to find action to get more kills. It is possible people would just choose one corner where they knew no one could surprise them and just wait for someone to walk in front for the whole game. Maybe a point system, 2 points for a kill, -1 point for a death.

At least MOH shows deaths - none of the other games i've played even show how many deaths; this is yet another reason I luv MOH more than most games. Other reasons: sneak, bushes you can hide in in multiplayer.

14/7 is better than 40/40

Look at it like a baseball batting average.

Kills are hits, deaths are outs, and the total of the two are 'times at bat'.

So 14/7 is .667 and 40/40 is .500
The higher the better.

(at least that's how I look at it and it seems to work... btw there's a calculator in your Start, Programs, Accessories menu)

Anybody can be a rambo, but having a better ratio means a hell of a lot more.
