I've been getting horrible lag with MOHAA,
I have an older system, but have been able to get Return to CW to play flawlessly...My troubles mainly appear on outdoor levels especially the sniper level. I have all video and advanced options at there lowest. I have also tried decreasing the overall level of detail in the console.
here are my system specs
AMD K6-2 533 mhz
320 MB of SDRAM
32 mb Geforce 2 running detonator drivers

Please help...I can barely play the sniper level...Haven't been able to enjoy the game to its fullest
Thanks Varsity733

1st Welcome to the forum.
2nd you mean "Video" lag not online lag
3rd what is your OS?
4th have you checked if any other programs are running the background of the OS? Shut down everything you don't need when playing, antivirus, printer utils that run in the background,3rd party apps, any type of OS skins, utils .... just about everything.

You talking the sniper level in the snow? I had some bad lag on that one to and my graphics where at the lowest. I hate those dogs so so much. They run to fast, i can't run away!!! Does yours need the internet running to play the game too?

I don't know, if your system resources are not too low,
sorry to say it could be your processor.

I say trash the system. It's outdated anyway...SDRAM? Come on...

However, if you decide to keep the GeForce, that's fine. Although the 2s are getting a little old, they're still OK for some people...

I say when they have processors twice as fast as your processor, it's time to upgrade. Also, get some DDR ram.

You guys are right the system is dated, however it meets minimum game requirements and plays castle wolfenstien flawlessly.....I had to change the Hunk megs settings on the console for RTCW to run fast...Is there a hunk megs command for MOHAA???? From what I hear wolfenstien puts more of a strain on a system than HOHAA. Input is always appreciated
