This is a debate I have contemplated for years and I just want to see what you guys think.

I personally play games to play, If I loost then I loose and if I win then I win, the most important part is playing the game.

Example: you switch sides in the middle of a team match to even out the #'s, even if that means going to the side that is loosing. This is playing to play.

Example: hanging out at respawn points to get kills. This is playing to win.

I think, in regards to the online gaming community, it would be a better place if more people played to play, you know to actually go out there and try to simulate as close as possable a real battle from WW2.
Yea I know that this is a game and its not suposed to be real but it is another thing to take advantage of a games weaknesses to get a higher kill count.

and no I am not bitching if thats what some a you are gonna say, I am just trying to bring up a relavant and intelegent topic.

I hope to hear what you all have to say about this.

You know you can play to win fairly, I think I do, I try my best not to spawn kill, like on omaha I snipe(if i see someone spawn on a boat I wait a sec, give them a chance to move. and then try and snipe them. I tried the spawn killing thing when i first started playing and it wasn't a challenge, it really did nothing for me.

I play to win. When ever I play to have fun is when I completed the game and turn cheats on to just have some fun. Although I already played the whole game with out cheating.

I also play to have fun. If the other team is loosing bad. I switch even if the teams are even.

How much fun is it to play against a team that is really doing poorly? I would rather have a challenge and fight against the better team. This way I get better at playing

i play to do my best
i dont mind switchen teams as long as i get top 3 overall for either my team or both teams
i know it sounds like an insignificant victory that no one besides me cares about but it helps me get better

Low Spark your right you can play to win fairly, I guess everyone is out to win that was stupid on my part not to say that b4. But there are definately a difference btween people that play this game (not as much as other games tho) and other games that are out there just to get a high kill count/cheat and get a rush of adrenaline.

Is there anyone out there that can defend playing just to win? If so please post your comments and I will try my hardest not to flame you. Just kiddin really tho post some comments I know you are out there. (Rocket Spammers)

Most of the people play for frags, not just to win. At least on objective maps where getting the most frags does not make you win.

I always play to have fun 1st.
I bought the game because I thought it would be fun.....I invite my friends to play or watch me play because its a fun thing to do.
I play online because I meet people who enjoy the same pastimes i do (like playing this game)and thays fun......
Winning is secondary, unless it affects the real world that i live in. ...... then its not fun its life !!!!!
