Anyways, the thoughts with Omaha only being 1 round comes down to what we've been hearing from those who frequent the server and by observations of how many people end up leaving the server when the map comes up. We want to keep Omaha in, but something needed to be done. We have put the roundlimit at 1, but increased the round time to 15 minutes. This gives Allies a better chance of being able to do something.
A lot of people have been expressing concerns that Omaha is the most unbalanced map that MoH has and is overly favors the Axis team. In fact, as long as the Axis team guards the center section within the bunker by camping the stairs on both sides, the allies seem to not have little chance at victory. Also, kill an Allied player and he spawns far away from where he needs to be (like the beach). Kill an Axis player and he respawns exactly where he needs to be. Something screwy about that. Perhaps Omaha is better balanced when not playing it with the CPR mod. I don't know.
At any rate, we just set up this new Omaha 1 round limit a few days ago. So far, yours has been the only voice opposed to the idea. We are waiting for more opinions, but the near overwhelming majority of players like the idea we're trying or wish we'd remove Omaha altogether. Jury is still out as far as what Omaha's fate shall be, but like to keep it in. What I personally wish for is that someone either mods the map or the developers change it to become better balanced. Thanks for your input.
Here's the current rotation with fraglimits.
The Hunt - 5 Rounds
Southern France - 5 Rounds
V2 Rocket Factory - 5 Rounds
Destroyed Village - 6 Rounds
Remagen - 6 Rounds
Omaha Beach - 1 Round (extended time to 15 mins)
Snowy Park - 3 Rounds
The Bridge - 5 Rounds
Stalingrad - 5 Rounds
Algiers - 5 Rounds
You'll note that Snowy Park was reduced to 3 Rounds because too many people camp and make the map seem too long. Destroyed Village and Remagen are put at 6 mostly because they are favorites amongst members of our clan. No one else seems to mind, but if the general concensus about them is that they're too long, we'll lower the roundlimit on them.
