After looking at Gerald's sig I realized what's wrong with the CGI movie EA made that made it look so unrealistic. I was because all the characters were moving to fast in the movie. Notice that Gerald's sig is a lot slower and the characters movie in a more realistic manner.

I'm gonna get bitched out for being anal but...

Also on the clip with the MG42 the spent shell-casings seem to be ejecting out of either the side or the top of the receiver. On a real MG42, and MG34, the ejection port os on the bottom of the reciever, just forward of the trigger grouping. The casings eject strait down.

Bitch all you want but believe me on this one...

Well, now dont take this as a bitch

but this is one of those points i was talking about
im sure they are well aware of the fact that it is SUPPOSED to eject out of the bottom, but i for one when i see a game and see a gun like that, i sort of expect to see bullets flying outta the top of it, makes for more action and such

so they probably opted to do it that way making for a more action packed scene and more effects/details.

then again they could be totally wrong and not know it

blah

Just wondering which name sounds better. Allied assault rolls of the tongue easier but allied invasion imo is more what the game is about since u have the d-day landings and stuff.

maybe its just not about the d-day landing . there's too much concentration on that . alot of people liked SPR only because of the normandy invasion , so do you think they should have changed the name to that movie .

i hope this game isnt just famous for that one level . geeeezzzzzzzzzz

I would say it would take more of a budget, and about three to four (or more) years to get almost everything in the game.

I would wait that long. And I wouldn't care if the technology available could blow the long developed game out of the water when It finnaly came out. It would still be just as fun. Also, if it did take that long, then you would simply have higher developed computer that could handle everything the game had to offer. Other then now, when It feels like the minimum requirments are a joke, and the recommended is the actual minimum.

But as real as the programers could make it, your own body would not be in 1940's Normandy, and you would not have the mindset of a 1920's born soldier fighting in the war.

As someone else mentioned earlier on another post. The only thing that's 100% was the War itself and the people involved.

However, With a video game, better yet a computer simulation, you can get an Idea of what it was really like.

...But you still cant simulate the aura of a cool morning, a bruse on your shoulder from the weapon you're issued with, or actaully feeling tired from running around all day..

Oh Yes, I think while they are working on this game for four or five years, then they should go the the Bundeswehr and record a Zug of german soldiers singing German Military Marchings songs! That would be increidable to see a platton of Grenadiere marching to the front singning "Westerwaldlied" or my favorite, "Erika"

Everyone, sing along!

Auf der Heide blüht ein kleines Blümelein
Und das heißt: Erika.
Heiß von hunderttausend kleinen Bienelein
Wird umschwärmt Erika.
Denn ihr Herz ist voller Süßigkeit,
Zarter Duft entströmt dem Blumenkleid
Auf der Heide blüht ein kleines Blümelein
Und das heißt: Erika.
2. In der Heimat wohnt ein kleines Mägdelein
Und das heißt: Erika.
Dieses Mädel ist mein treues Schätzelein
Und mein Glück, Erika.
Wenn das Heidekraut rot-lila blüht,
Singe ich zum Gruß ihr dieses Lied.
Auf der Heide blüht ein kleines Blümelein
Und das heißt: Erika.

3. In mein'm Kämmerlein blüht auch ein Blümelein
Und das heißt: Erika.
Schon beim ersten Morgengrau'n sowie beim Dämmerschein
Schaut's mich an, Erika.
Und dann ist es mir, als spräch' es laut:
Denkst du auch an deine kleine Braut?
In der Heimat weint um dich ein Mägdelein
Und das heißt: Erika!

JezusChr7st - I spoke to Justin, one of the Devoplers of the game about it, and they just didnt know about it. Hopefully in the game they will just shoot out of the bottom.

"..but i for one when i see a game and see a gun like that, i sort of expect to see bullets flying outta the top of it, makes for more action and such"

My god, Im sorry but that is just LAME. Why not add some lazer and flashlights on it, and make the muzzleflash blast 5 meters from the barrel...

Again, "It's all about looks, dude"

Yeah right.

Okay, it's your world not mine

"well, in retort i could say that singing old german marching songs is pretty lame, but what do i know *sneeze*"

The real German soldiers sang the songs were LAME too huh?

"erm, well yes... but how many of us in action movies/games etc etc have ever seen a bigass machine gun spit bullet casings from the TOP of the chamber?"

Why did you bring this up, it's like you are repling to yourself?

"thats about all i can recall... dont see too many movies with guns that shoot bullet casings out the bottom.... u just dont."

Yeah, those MG-42's and .30 Cal Brownings didnt eject out of the bottom in Saving Private Ryan, They edited it coming out of the side for enjoyment.
