WEAPON SKIN TROUBLE!

Hello there,
I have been trying for months to re-skin a wepaon but the mike powell guide doesn't help even though i follow it step by step. This has been getting on my nerves any suggstions of where i can find an easier or beter tutorial or any suggestions of what i could be doing wrong.

weapon skining is quite easy
now is your texture compression on?
if it is you should take it off and see if it works
there is a way to make it work with texture compressio, you need to save it as .dss
theres a special ps/psp patch for that
also make sure the path you saved your skin is correct

it still doesnt work the path it was in was myname/textures/models/weapons/thompsonSMG
i packed it as a pk3 put it in my main folder and it STILL doesnt work with or without the texture thing mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad: mad:

i only put in the thompsonSMG.tga and not the rest im so sorry for waisting your time !!! swordfight:
