Has been banned from the =[DOA]= server
and added to the banned IP list
for recently playing as (an imposter)

=[DOA]=SiLenCe and =[DOA]=BallBuster (me)

He also plays as (D@rknesS)

Impersonation any clan member will not be tolerated

There is no reason for such rediculous behavior. Anyone
impersonating ANY clan member - regardless of the clan
will be asked to stop. If they continue they are BANNED

This is one of the quickest ways to get on the banned list

I've heard, that if you use a phone modem, your IP changes everytime time you you log on.

If that's the truth, there's no way to ban someone using a 56k modem.

you can ban anyone you want and if its not supported by the program you can do it through a firewall or TCP wrapper. the actual problem with banning 56k players is that their IP changes within an IP range so if you want to ban them you have to ban the whole range. the result can vary from banning everyone in that persons local area on that ISP to banning the entire ISP.

Yup. What happens is you don't have a dedicated IP address when you are using 56K, you have a temporary one that the ISP provides you. Once you disconnect, you release that IP address. Once you connect again, you obtain one. Whichever one is open/easiest to locate, it will assign you.

Default Banned IPs - 08-27-2002, 07:12 PM

My server wont allow 56kers - their ping is too high
and they get kicked automatically

Also,
Broadband users can release and pick up a new IP
but they will onyl have access to a few IPs and
a few clicks and they are history
