Default Limit on PK3 files ? - 08-27-2002, 12:34 PM

IS there a limit on the pk3 files in the main directory ?

The reason I ask is because we have been having slowdowns and lag problems recently. We currently have 108 pk3 files in the main.

Comments ?

I guess whenever MOH starts to conflict with other .PK3 files, that's when there's too many, heh. Otherwise, I don't believe there is a limit.

Default Lag Problems... pk3 files - 08-27-2002, 05:03 PM

The windows server has to pre load all those pk3 files
so the more you load... well you know

Thats why you cant overwrite or delete any
of those files while your server is still running
Windows is using them while the server active

Just rename all the pk3 files you
are not currently using by changing
the pk3 extension to tmp

Then reboot your server
