as for seeing spectator chat, I doubt it since that would be a BAD idea. players would cheat and give away enemy position and other info that live players shouldn't know about. not to mention, the live players might never get to see other live player chat that could be important because they're being spammed with spectator conversations (and I don't know about you, but when lots of people are dead on the servers I play on, they're all gabbing up a storm).

Yes you can allow people to see spectature chat. We use it on some of our servers. We have had people complain about "It helps you cheat" well a cheat is only a cheat if it gives one team an advantage. This dose not. Also it makes ingame banter a lot of fun. We like it a lot but then we are just freindly anyway.

We never type in enemy locations we just use it a chat and all can see it. just set the following command in you server config file.

seta g_spectate_allow_full_chat "0"

Obviously 0 or 1 is on or off.
