Why I continue to play MOHAA after all these months....... -
09-28-2002, 10:38 AM
I've travled the world of gamin community. I've been to the far off reaches to battle Xenomorphs, humans, and predators (AVP2), I've been into George Lucas's fantasy world of Jedi's sabers, shooters and blazers(JK2). I've just recently travled to the battlefields of 1942...only to be shot buy three guys in tanks.......... but after all these games and many more I still come back to MOHAA. I have been playing this game since bout January 2002 when I was peruasing the aisles of EB and noticed an odd faced person on a box staring at me. Well just about 9 months and 100000 hours later I still play it. Weather it be stock maps, realism, custom maps, or the ever classical Omaha I still play. My freinds say it's sick, my mom thinks I'm demented for playing from 2 P.M. to 5 A.M. , but hey where else can you shoot nazis run round with bazookas and then get blasted by the ever so unhistorically accurate shotgun? But hey man, it's MOHAA and I can't wait for the expansion pack..............yea...........

I think there is something wrong with you. eek: Well, not really. I play from 6:30AM-7:30AM, then from 5PM-8PM, 4 hours a dayu, if I play those days. I think MoH:AA is a great game, it has inspired me to literally, go out (to Amazon.com) and purchase Underground. I have yet to recieve it, I will get it Oct. 2-8, so, tomorrow I'm going out to buy the threesome pack with 007 Racing, The World is Not Enough, and original MoH. Once the expansion comes out, if I have enough money then, and it is avaliable; I will but that. Sometime I'll probably get Frontline. But, for $40 for both of them, I would get both PS1 MoH games, but, I need MP, so Frontline can wait. But, I think the majority of us are addicted to it. Maybe some a little over-addicted. But, you see people that stay in the same game for over an hour, I can't do that. I usually leave after the first rotation. I just want to go toe a different server, unless I'm doing really good.

MOHAA ain't a game, somehow it's a life! J/K I like it cause I can mod some shit on it, or try to....every day peoples are making progress in the game despite the SDK and whatnot....

Good post!
I don't play that often. Maybe 3 hours a night on three to four nights out of the week. Hey I have two kiddies and a wife who demand my attention too...but I really love the play. I just wish there were more stock maps. I hate finding a good custom map server then losing half of the soldiers when a map changes.
I can't wait until the expansion pack comes out...

Yea, I've been playing since round the last weeks of January. The demo came out around the beggining of the new year, but I never played it. I first read about MOHAA when I was in school and saw the review and was like "Whory COW!!!" it had the ever popular D-Day landings and I was just like, "Damn RTCW is gonna suxer compared to this!" But I also can't wait for the Ex pack to come out, I'm taking the day off work for that and also cause I hate my work . But yea for stock servers check out |[tnp]|'s, T|E's, and KaoS. All them have good rounded well organized players. For Custom and realism servers I recommend going to AA.com (of course!) and DOA's. I like stock, but I grow board and head over to da realism.
