Hi guys.
Thought i was dead hey ? not likely, in that event one of my clones takes over ... in fact i just sit in my clone control room and never actually appear in the outside world !
Ok heres a run down of whats been done so far and whats being done.
NEW WEAPONS ! kewl.
These weapons are NOT models or tik files !
(glad that clear that up).
They are controlled from with the map scripts.
THEREFORE the mapper decides how many of each weapon in the map, which teams can use them, and various other paramters.
For instance in the Monastery Assault map, there are:
(all of these are portable, ie you can carry them around the map !)
3 mines
3 bombs
1 flamethrower
2 mg42's
They all start at the allied trucks, ready for the allied assault on the axis.
If a player dies, his weapon drops where he died, if it's not picked up in 60 seconds, it returns to the trucks.
(the same happens with the 3 objectives that allies have to steal from the axis).
Both teams can pickup/putdown/use the weapons and the obj's.
(interesting as Axis sometimes pickup there own loot, and run round the map trying to avoid the allies.)
WEAPONS THAT ARE FINISHED:
Mines .. pick it up, drop it or deploy it, when a player steps on it .. booomb
Bombs .. pick it up, drop it or deploy it, tick tick tick booomb
MG42's .. pick it up, drop it or deploy it (love this one).
WEAPONS 90% FINISHED
Flame Thrower - just got to attach the model to the player when he picks it up. ... pick it up, drop it, fire it (i smell barby time).
WEAPONS DUE FOR RELEASE TOMORROW/TUESDAY
Mortar launcher .. pick it up, drop it, deploy it and fire of some mortars
Sticky Bombs (i'm gona love these). .. pick em up, drop em, deploy then on the ground, or stick em to a model / player.
With regard to the 3DSMax models (and other model formats), i should have the model converter ready by tuesday, and that means you can load a model into RADIANT ... it DOES NOT convert it to SKD etc ... but that's better than nothing.
