Why worry about it. Games are made primarily for the gameplay. Historic accuracy comes second. Besides, it'll mean more programming for the designers and I think they've done enough already. Just sit back and enjoy. It's just a game.

Point taken, but it's alright isn't it? I mean this is a very minor historical error and it's in multiplayer! There it's mostly about gameplay!

Yah but the Axis players have more than 50% of these guns.It is stupid to be shot by a gun which hasn't been invented by then.

Yeah. They didn't have bazooka's either. Nobody on Omaha ran around with Bazookas, StG44s, sniper guns, or anythign like that. Ban them all! Let's just play Omaha with pistols!

OK, I see your point, but I think it's extremely gay. Do you EVER see StG44s in the game until THE END? No. Do you see them on Omaha? No. How gay would multiplayer be if we couldn't use the weapons we want? Very gay.

Ahh well...

Let's take a vote, all in favour of historical accuracy say aye!

All against say Nay!

All who don't care say Neep!

If you think you can do it better, go ahead. MOD AWAY.

The tools are there, it is very possible to make a mod with historically accurate weaponry.

As far as the original game is concerned, historically accurate or not, it's great.

I love the gameplay, most important part of a game. Rocketeer problems are my only beef...

I agree wholeheartedly. There are a lot of inconsistencies in the game if you go right down to the nitty-gritty such as the boats being able to carry only 8-12 people in the game. But in real life, the boats are crammed like a tuna can with 42 soldiers. But who cares right? Its just a game.

Exactly. So let's just leave it at that.
It's a game, not real life.

the stg44 should not be in the game. like so many hollywood crap, when it gets to hard to be loyal to the truth, they make things up, no difference in the gaming scene.

stg44...crap
shotguns on german side...crap
bazookas with 6 shells ...crap (there should be a helper)
7 grenades per person.....crap.

wheres the mg34? with drum perhaps?
wheres the gewehr 43?

mohaa producers lacked feeling for history... if you gonna make a game about ww2, go all the way and be realistic.
