[quote="mr.miyagi":55fc6]Funnily enough I too am looking for a digi camera, I'm pretty n00bish about it all I admit but whats the difference between memory cards, like, they come in 64-512mb yea? howm nay will 512 hold and can they be re-used, etc....

How many pixels should I go for, at least 4 million? obviously it depends on what you use it for but these things don't come cheap so I'd like to hit the nail on the head, any help appreciated loney:[/quote:55fc6]

Well, you probably figured out that the higher the number on the memory card, the higher the number of photo's you can hold. Truthfully, I have a very low MB memory card (8MB or something) and when I take good photos I want to keep, I save them onto the computer, delete them off the memory card, and reuse it.

The higher the megapixel, well, the more pixels you can see, so you'll get sharper, better looking photo's with higher megapixels. 1 megapixel is enough if your not serious about it, 10 megapixel's are for like professional photo-taker. 5 megapixels are right in between, and are what I'd recommend, as you dont want crappy pictures, but wouldnt care if you saw that shade of purple in the sunset or not.
