1. What kind of computer do you have?

2. If its not a custom one, did it come with any CDs?

If so, find the CD that says "Factory Restore" or "Reinstallation CD" and put it in the cd drive and it may have intructions for you to follow. If not, reboot and hit delete before it begins loading windows to bring up the bios menu and go to the option that says "boot options" or something similar and set CD-drive as the first boot. Then save and quit and it'll load the cd, then follow the intructions that it gives you.

If its a custom build, find the cd that came with your hard drive and the windows disc and follow set the cd-drive as the first boot.

So atm it wont do it if u follow the compaq link or any of the other ways you do it. It seems either the disc is fucked or ur doin something wrong.
Is there no warrenty etc so u can take it in and get it sorted?
