The thin red line is perhaps the worst WW2 movie ever made, the best part is when they attack that bunker, all those flashbacks of that girl are so gay. I wanted to get my money back after we bought it on pay per view hake: this is nothing like BoB, BoB was actually the very best mini/ ww2 show/ movie ever aside from SPR which is a tie

Well I REALLY like the shaky cam filming style of BoB & SPR....Its brilliant, it really adds to the turbulence of the film...The Bridge At Remagen used that technique in some places also, it made it seem quite modern.

Ya TRL did suck. As a war movie....I still think the makers accomplished what they set out to do...Even if it is boring as shit.

I like Thin Red Line a tad better than Saving Private Ryan.

Thin Red Line takes place during the U.S. landing at Guadalcanal.

According to the website, "THE THIN RED LINE tells the story of a group of men, an Army Rifle company called C-for-Charlie, who change, suffer and ultimately make essential discoveries about themselves during the fierce World War II battle of Guadalcanal. "

It stars Sean Penn, Jim Caviezel, Ben Chaplin, George Clooney, John Cusack, Woody Harrelson, Elias Koteas and Nick Nolte.

Oh, did I mention that it sucked?

Keeping in mind that Apocalypse Now didnt have that much action in it when you think about it, and towards the end, there was practically no talking for almost an hour, yet most people say apocalypse now is an excellent film.
it is indeed, and so is the thin red line IMO.
