It has yet to be revealed if Rommel was actually ploting against Hitler, i think germany loves him so much they will not tell the truth. If he had directed the attack on Russia they might have had less casualtys, german panzer tacticts were always the same, a double pincer maneuver. Russia anticipated this in the battle at kursk. Maybe with Rommel in command they would have chosen a new tactic and actually have surprised the russians. Whatever the case the war was lost when they invaded russia, hitler simply miscalculated the number of armored vehicles russia had. He had no chance. er got bit off topic oOo:

Yeah one more thing, Rommel fought for Germany and did not fight for the political ambitions of the Third Reich so he's not a Nazi. He didn't think Hitler was a brave man.
